The rapid development of the network has now entered the 5G era, and gigabit network transmission is no longer a novelty. Many industrial control devices have two or more RJ45 network ports. What are the differences among Intel 82583V, 82574L, I211AT, and Realtek 8111E?

From the appearance, it is difficult to see the difference from the network ports, because they are the same with RJ45 output. However, the definition of the network port is determined by the internal chip, produced by Intel and Realtek from Taiwan.

8111E CHIP is produced by Realtek, which only provides the chip for the network card, not the network card. Because of a low price and stable performance, many motherboards integrate Realtek chips.

Intel is a well-known chip brand, with various models and stable performance. It can significantly improve the server network performance and solve the network transmission bottleneck.

In the industrial field, both Intel and Realtek have their own advantages. Many manufacturers integrate their chips into an industrial motherboard or expansion board according to different performances, then forming different network port definitions.

Intel 82583V, 82574L, I211AT, and Realtek 8111E all belong to the category of gigabit network ports. Viewing the differences intuitively, we specially made a specification definition table as follows:
