What Does Working Temperature & Storage Temperature Mean?

Categories

Have some questions after reading the specification? Especially in the application environment, there are working temperature and storage temperature. What is the difference between these two terms?

The working temperature refers to the ambient temperature when in use;

The storage temperature refers to the ambient temperature in storage when not in use.

HV-C101B is equipped with Intel Celeron J1900 2.0GHz processor and onboard memory. To meet the application requirements of a variety of harsh environments, the fanless design makes it flexibly used in a variety of applications in the equipment automation industry. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 6 x serial ports, 4 x USB ports, 9~36v wide voltage, light, and convenience, to meet the needs of customers in different industries. Its working temperature is -20~+60℃, and our storage temperature is -30~+70℃.

The working temperature and storage temperature of the industrial computer is obvious. When our machine is working, we promise to operate stably in the external environment of -20~60℃, but it does not mean that the industrial computer will not work if it exceeds our working temperature range. For example, the guaranteed standard for a car is 3 years or 100,000 kilometers. It does not mean that the car will break after driving for 3 years or 100,000 kilometers.

Similarly, the storage temperature of the industrial computer is -20~70℃. This is the promise that the industrial computer can store data normally under this working environment temperature.

Through the above introduction, many customers must have a certain understanding of the working temperature and storage temperature of the industrial computer. When choosing an industrial computer, our customers have to choose according to their own ambient temperature. The working temperature often takes into account the external ambient temperature and the internal heat dissipation of the industrial computer. The use environment of industrial computers is relatively harsh. In terms of heat dissipation, many of them use low-power processors and fanless passive cooling systems. The whole machine is anti-smoke and anti-fog (non-condensing).
